So my hubby is sportin’ some additional facial hair right now.  Yup, right above his lip.  He has also informed me last week that he will be growing out his moustache for the rest of the month.  I’m not gonna lie; I was not exactly stoked!

But, I had no idea until recently that the Movember Movement was anything more than an annoying excuse for the men in our lives to get lazy with the razor and engage in ‘stache growing contests.  Apparently though, the Movember Foundation raises funds and brings awareness to Men’s Health Issues.  The month ends with a series of Charity Galas in major cities and the foundation even encourages men to host their own Mo Parties within the community.  They’ll even send you a free party pack of fun moustache related favors!  Now you’re talkin’ – I can totally get on board with this! :)

So, in honor of Movember, I’m sharing a super easy DIY project with you.  Use the moustache on a stick as a photo booth prop, or to spice up the pictures at your next holiday party.  All you need to do is download the Moustache on a Stick Template, which includes 6 different mo’s, print and cut them out.  Use a glue gun or glue dots to attach them to 12″ dowels that you can get at any craft store and you’re done!

By the way, did you know that there are official rules to Movember?  I kid you not!  Here they are:

1. You must begin the 1st of November with a clean shaven face.

2. You grow/groom a moustache for the entire month of November.

3. No joining of the mo to your sideburns.

4. No joining of the handlebars to your chin (that is considered a goatee).

5. You must conduct yourself as a true country gentleman
