“Here comes the bride . . . all dressed in white . . . ”  Oh, wait.  Here come the bridesmaids . . . all dressed in white too!

Ever since Pippa Middleton made a splash earlier this year in her stunning ivory cowl-neck gown, bridesmaids dresses in white, ivory and cream have taken center stage in celebrity weddings and runways alike.  Kate Moss dressed her bridal party all in white, as did Kim Kardashian in her wedding to Kris Humphries last month.

With the first few days of March behind is, spring is just around the corner!  I always find myself frustrated during this time of year, when the spring fashions debut but the weather doesn’t yet allow you to wear any of them.  Both my inbox and my mailbox are chock full of ads, newsletters and magazines, practically bragging about the cheery colors, wispy fabrics and all around lightening up that awaits us.

Nowadays, it seems like everyone is jumping on the bridal bandwagon.  With more engagements happening during the holiday season than any other time of year, it makes sense that retailers want to cash in on the prime bridal gown shopping time.  The next few weeks will be exciting as we see some newcomers, both online and off, throw their hats in the ring with an abundance of new options for the stylishly discerning modern bride.
