I’ve always loved fashion. The process of creating a complete “look” – from the clothes to the perfect shoe to the hair, makeup and well-placed brooch. Keeping on top of trends, but always staying true to who I am. Style isn’t just about looking good. It’s the thrill of finding something that you adore, that’s absolutely you and will be put to the very best use. It’s about feeling great and giving those around you a glimpse of who you are.
As a little girl, I was always looking for a reason to celebrate and invite my friends over for something special. Whether it was a tea party or a slumber party, each occasion had to have a thematic concept, a color scheme, a cute goodie bag and brightly hued paper streamers strung across the living room. And of course, the perfect outfit! I took joy in watching my friends ooh and aah over the smallest details and loved finding ways to surprise them and create excitement.
Where do I get my inspiration? It comes entirely from the couples who let me into their lives and can originate from the smallest glimmer of a detail. A favorite color, a love of reading, a passing comment about hosting a weekly game night. Just about anything can be used as the building block for a spectacular event that allows you to share a part of yourselves with your guests. Figuring out how to weave these personal details in a tasteful and clever fashion is what gets me up early in the morning, reaching for my note pad to jot down ideas. There’s inspiration everywhere!
I encourage each couple I work with to start with the fantasy. With no constraints on budget or imagination. Simply to sit back, close their eyes and watch their own fairytale unfold.
